Sensitive Plants

In Sensitive Plants I look at nature with curiosity. I use organic rottenness and  combine it with photographic chemicals into  what I call Organic Photography. Organic Photography is  photography without a camera. It is photography, where the chemical processes are expressions in themselves, and where the  light of the sun and water play the absolutely essential roles in the creation of the image. You could call it Photogenic Drawing or Photogenic Painting. What I call Organic Photography asks the  question  “what is photography” now in the 21st century with the same relevance as in the 19th century, and as a poetic analogy between the two centuries. There is a mental connection between the two centuries in the approach to the work of photography, as a space for experiments, trials and tests, openness, potentials and possibilities. Light and Time were studied, in the 19th century with the scientific gaze, today it is studied as material with artistic potential, two approaches with 150 years of poetic reference.
